About us

The JELÍNEK 1998 brand builds on a long tradition of hand-made glass from the heart of Europe, known worldwide as Bohemia Glass. We combine this craft tradition with contemporary wine, gastronomy, and dining culture. We believe that a glass is not just a vessel, but a tool that allows wine to fully express its character.

Our collections are based on thin-walled hand-made glass – light, elegant, and sensitively designed so that the wine is not overshadowed, but rather enhanced. The delicacy of the material and carefully balanced proportions support the aroma, structure, and depth of the wine, while enhancing the drinking experience itself.

The entrepreneurial story of the brand's founder, Ondřej Jelínek, began in 1998 and naturally gradually became intertwined with the world of wine and gastronomy. The Bandol region in southern France also became a significant inspiration, whose terroir wines and culture of dining confirmed the crucial role that the right glass plays in wine tasting.

Another important chapter in this journey was the KVĚTNÁ 1794 brand, which Ondřej Jelínek created together with Lubor Cerva. Their common goal was to restore the identity, self-confidence, and deserved attention of hand-blown glass on the Czech and foreign markets.

Today, this legacy is continued by JELÍNEK 1998 – hand-made glass produced in Central Europe, near the Czechia-Slovakia border, in one of the traditional centers of glassmaking.

Hand-made glass that lets the wine speak for itself.
